This is my first post, hope this is correct.
I'm using the free edition, 4.1 on winxp. I have a computer (my kids) that
is set up for several users. I would like vnc to start when anyone logs on.
I have tried both service and user mode and have problems with both. The
problem comes when one user

I have installed VNC Free Edition Servers on an XP machine with 4 users -
installing under say the first user.
I then access this system from another computer and get to the select user

We wish to enable a Windows client server application to be used by multiple
users across different sites at the same time.
We are thinking to use RealVNC to enable remote users with RealVNC client to
view the Windows client application that is running in a centralized Windows
2003 server
I have my server up and running fine.
Question: Since RealVNC treats logins like console users, on windows
2k server, are you limited to the number of users you can have on at
the same time?
Thanks!

Hi Roger,
Sounds like you're using Fast User Switching. .
Recent VNC Enterprise Personal Edition server builds handle this slightly
differently, which allows the console session to be accessed regardless of
which session it is.

Hi - tried looking at the other questions, but I start VNC (Run
WinVNC App Mode) and send http://my.ip:5800/ to another person -
they can enter the password and either just watch or drive my PC

Yes, just bring up Configure User Mode Options from VNC Server (User
Mode) and then click on the Sharing tab. Click on Always treat new
connections as shared and that should be it.

I
believe XP will offer to register in DNS by default. You might try
adding static entries in WINS / DNS and see if that helps.

Hello Everyone -
I am trying to set up an WinVNC server so that if someone is connected, they won't be
dissconnected if someone else tries to connect. Looking at the documentation, it
appears that I need to change the following registry key to 2:
Your best bet then is to use TightVNC http://www.tightvnc.com/ and then right click
