The worse thing you can do is send these PC virus attachments
back, you are only making matters worse. Unfortunately you are
receiving these attachments from people who are not aware that
they are sending them.
They receive a virus themselves and it corrupts and infests
their system and then uses

Wait a few months, and then send them back. With a note saying, "hi, you sent
me this a while ago but I could never open it on my Macintosh. Perhaps you
could try it on your PC?"

Hi Lloyd,
Yes I got a couple the other day - one was an .exe file which I politely
sent back to them apologising that I couldn't run it on a Mac.
I have also noticed an increase in spam must be the alignment of the
planets or something.

Just be aware that current versions of MIDI/Audio programs like Cubase won't

Classic Emulation won't talk to your Audio/Midi interfaces.
You need to boot in OS9.
It would also be wise to have a separate partition or drive

Dear Matthew,
I'd like to be able to receive the May CD by post, even though I live
locally, as I work Tuesday evenings and would not be able to get to the
meeting.
How do I get the money to you? I'm planning to pay for the June one as well.
Cheers, Susan

Hi
Does anyone know of any free virus detecters/cleaners like Disinfectent?
Apparently I have a Word virus which disables some files when they're
copied to a new volume.

Is it only me or are other people being sent strange files which must be
viruses? I am getting at least two every day from unknown people in USA and
Aust. Each has an enticing message with file attached.
I immediately trash them but it is annoying.

Hi all,
Thought some of you might be interested - following some of the
threads from xlr8yourmac.com, I've successfully flashed an
ASUS 8200 GF3 deluxe card with a Mac Nvidia ROM. It's working
in the G4 I'm using to write this email.
It's worth every cent. :-)

What I'm trying to do is pretty simply - go through a folder of images,
load each one in turn into GC, copy it to the clipboard and paste into
another app. Everything is working fine except the bit where I want GC

Hi,
I'm setting up ADSL for the home network and got the Alcatel USB modem
from iinet. I have a choice of MacOS-X or a Linux box (or windows...)
for the 'gateway' so I thought I'd have a try with X first.
The modem is synching just fine, I've installed the OS-X drivers, all

Doesn't it just use whatever is configured on the Mac side by default. You
don't have to set anything in the Windows side. Mind you I don't use it but

Can anyone assist me in configuring Windows 98 to detect modem. Have tried

Hi
I'm using ANZAC day for a little house cleaning.
I have, for the price of picking it up, a Performa 580CD, with mouse and

internal modem (slow 14.4K). It's running OS 8.1.
I also have for sale, a set of OS X install di
