Since 9 April I've had eight automatic firmware updates from Apple.
For example 2008-04-21 16:50:43 +0800: Installed iMac EFI Firmware
Update (1.3) But the description on all of them seems the same.
Have I had eight different updates, or am I getting the same one over
and over?
Cheers, Paul.
Hi Paul
You need to go into /Applications/Utilites and run iMac EFI Firmware
Update.app to actually upgrade the firmware.

Is anyone else experiencing bigpond email problems?
Yesterday I was getting an error message trying to retrieve mail from
bigpond (other non-bipgpond email accounts working fine). To keep an eye on
things I sent off a couple of test emails to my bigpond address.
Later the connection problem
Robert, Ronda and Chris.
A thousand apologies for including that website address and I do hope
you don't get flooded with spam.
I thought the offers were too good to be true.

HI ALL,
It seems my email address was sucked out of my last message
Yes, I am also having problems with bigpond addresses. Emails sent
are being returned but not until three days later. I have contacted
the intended recipients and they can offer no reason for the hiccup.
Some time ago there was a similar problem. At that time iinet advised
me that emails

Apparently BigPond blacklisted some ISP's, iiNet was one for a time.
Should be rectified now.

I have a 17² MacBook Pro 3.1 (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) which suddenly just
doesn¹t seem to turn off when the lid is down.
Anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy fix, or is it more likely a
repair job under warranty?

Yes, I also got it when I sent my last post (not a reply) to WAMUG - does
that mean the problem is now on the WAMUG server?
Cheers

Thanks to Merv Ronni for these threads - at least I know the problem is
not just with my account! One of the threads mentions Internode as being one
of the ISPs affected so I guess in my case it's an Internode/Bigpond issue.
Not rectified though Ronni, I just got another Delivery Status
Neil,
I think so ! I will know if I get a response to this !
We have pointed the finger at Peter Bull's email because it started
happening after
a reply to that emailBUT
it MAY have only started coincidentally with that email .
