I haven't done this myself, but I suggest that you could try a drag and drop from the backup copy from time machine to your music folder. You may need to re establish the connection again by pointing iTunes to that folder. Holding down the option or command key as you open iTunes. I can check

Hi Martin, Backup up your iTunes library is as simple as copying your 'iTunes' folder. For instance, you can open your 'Music' folder and drag-and-drop the 'iTunes' folder icon onto your external hard disk icon. Of course, this will take a very long time because you have 400 GB of music, and
