There is DocHelper.getText() so you don't have to implement getting
the whole text of the document yourself!
Also, how does this perform on large documents? Perhaps we should
restrict the text search space to the vicinity of the current
selection?

My reason for asking this is because I think it might be related to a
few small instances of persistence corruption since WIAB seems to
persist the changes to files every few minutes? So some loses could
occur here if killed during/between persists.
