A Two Chairs No Waiting Podcast episode featured the use of the song Poor
Butterfly on numerous TAGS episodes. A much slower version with the lyrics was
performed by Heather Masse on Prairie Home Companion radio show last week.
Saw Joe Hamilton on The Twilight Zone this morning. At least now we know
that, before he took up playing checkers on the hotel porch, he worked at
the bus station.

One hears alot about how TAGS was a show that had good morals and that many of
the episodes had a lesson to be learned. I am a big fan and love the show.
I've noticed, however, that sometimes the lesson learned was that it is better
to deceive or trick someone than to tell the truth.
If you will note, in all those instances of lies and deceit, the end result
was to accomplish some good, not the other way around. Would that were the
case in today's world!

Gildersleeves said, There are none so blind as those who do not see. (

Ken, thank you so much for the heads-up about the baby hummingbird rescue!
That was just about the most precious thing I have ever seen. God bless that
young man for his loving persistence. I wonder if the bird is still a member

Was watching an oldreally old...episode of The Rifleman last night and
it was called the Hangman. And who else was it than Denver Pyle, shoring up
his gallows to hang another guilty party. The townsfolk were all up in
arms and ready to hang the guilty man without even a trial until Lucas
Barney was fond of calling all the men who hung around Main Street loafers.
There was Jud, Choney, and a few others. One of the men seen on Main Street
a lot, was never given a name on TAGS. He was (Actual Name) Tom Jacobs. Tom
Jacobs was the brother of Danny Thomas. Tom Jacobs was
Was Tom Jacobs the gentleman who owned the cafe? He was painting his
window real fancy when Mayberry went Hollywood.
That is my thought.
