I finally found out what really happened to our half a boy Horatio.
Apparently he was out in his father's workshop one day playing with a saw.
He ended up cutting off his entire left side of his body.
But don't worry. He is all right now.

Dan, I agree with you on how TVLand treated poor Horatio. They cut him up
until he was just half a boy. This morning on the radio they asked a trivia
question - who play Gilligan. Can anyone relate how Gilligan and the
Skipper are connected to Mayberry?

I have often wondered whatever became of Poor Horatio, that half a boy who
Andy spoke about. There was an article in our daily paper today about ten
recent high school graduates who received the "Horatio Alger" scholarship
