I have the 15th issue of Mayberry magazine. About trivia on page 21 it says
the Andy Griffith Christmas episode aired on Dec 9th, 1960 and it was episode 9
of the first season.
4 other places I have found ( one of them being International Movie Database )
says that this Christmas episode was
Although I would absolutely love to meet the Mayberry Guru in person, I don’t
believe my wife would appreciate me bidding on him for a “date”. Of course, if
I mention it would be Dutch Treat and he would be responsible to tip the gypsy

Thanks
I think if I had 3 wishes, 1) I'd want to have Sunday dinner with the
Taylors - fried chicken and mashed taters. 2) Go one a triple date with
Andy, Barney and my husband in the front seat, Helen, Thelma Lou and me in
the back seat.
Elizabeth, just promise me one thing--that you won't hang your
My guess on Andy's older date would be Thelma Lou's cousin, Karen.

Hey Ken,
In the words of Jack Benny, now cut that out! :-)
Well, there's nothing like a little brine for a real pickled he-man scent. The
only disappointment would be not getting to see any ducks, though.

In regards to a date in Mayberry, I am surprised that no one mentioned a date
with Andy! He would be my number one pick, he's handsome, sincere, has a good
sense of humor, and knows how to treat a girl like a lady! He's an awesome
father figure, and seems like someone I could turn to if I had
Hey Clyde, before you go out on your date with Clara Edwards, be sure to
stop in at Walker's Drug Store and get a bottle of Old Spice after shave.
Can you imagine the time you will have when that Allspice and Old Spice

Thelma Lou!! Beautiful, witty, intelligent, has a good job, likes outdoors,
nice lady, dresses nice. What more could you ask for? And where would we go?
To the Bluebird of course, and stop at Snappy Lunch for a snack!
I would go out with Jim Lindsey and hopefully get invited to Andy's for some
chicken n dumplings.

A tough question to answer. I borrowed Gomer's bucket to give it a think and
