I'd guess my favourite smell would be of Emma Watson's pies cooling in her
windowsill in one of the firts episodes. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Or the pleasant whiff of Aunt Bee's and Ms. Edwardses roses in one of the last
episodes. I'd ask for one to put in a jar of water on my
I have a wound that just won't heal so my wound doc recommended daily
hyperbaric oxygen therapy. You're put in a clear tank for almost 2 hours and
surrounded by 100% oxygen for healing. About the only things you can do are
sleep and watch tv.
I notice that M-F 3 out of 6 of us are watching
I read the Ron Howard bio From Mayberry to the Moon...and Beyond and I highly
recommend it. The book has nothing but good to say about our Opie and it covers
his life pretty well. Book was written in 2006 or thereabouts so it isn't
recent but we all can be proud of both Ron and his family,
Has anybody here read Ron Howard: From Mayberry to the Moon...and Beyond? It is
next on my to be read list. Does it tell good things or does it recycle trash
from the tabloids like he secretly smoked dope or hated Howard McNear? He
didn't as far as I know.
I'm reading the Don and Andy book
Just purchased
Ron Howard: From Mayberry to the Moon...and Beyond: From Mayberry to the
Moon...and Beyond Kindle Edition
by Beverly Gray. I hope she doesn't trash talk him. Have any of you read it? I
think it starts with his first role as a babe in his mama's arms in a movie she
was in and it
Thank you for sharing that link, Aunt Bee. Here is another one

Some I'd seen but others were brand new. I esp. Like the ones showing Mr
Griffith in his civvies talking to Mr McNear in his civvies.

I'm reading Talk of the Town (A Welcome To Daily, TX book 1) on my Kindle. One
of the characters is a Hollywood type who describes Daily as "town that looked
like Mayberry-well-preserved-on-a-studio-backlot". Even the town deputy is
Barney like, handcuffing innocent people, locking his keys in
Just because I do not recall them as much and no reruns around much except
middle of the night on MeTV I'd like to see reruns of Eddie's Father, Family
Affair, My Three Sons, O & Harriet, the firts years of the Lucy Show, and Make
Room for Daddy.

I always thought that the Munster House was used first in LITB as the haunted
house Beaver and Larry visited. I don't think it was on TAGS.

Haven't seen these posted but if you go
http://www.emmytvlegends.org/interviews/people/ron-howard you'll see comments
from our Ronnie Howard about TAGS & AG himself. He seems like such a nice
person that if I met him out and about in public and tried speaking to him that
I bet he'd talk to me.
If you could live anywhere in Mayberry would you prefer
A living in town like Andy or Thelma Lou
B living in the country like Jeff Pruitt or Sam Jones
C a boarding house like Barney had with arms Mendlebright
D deep in Kelsey's woods like Ernest T or The Darling Family
E near Kelsey's Lake like
I'd guess the longest career to be Ron Howard. Certainly the most successful
tho the majority of it is as a director, not an actor.
Otherwise I'd guess the Albertson siblings. Jack who played Aunt Bee and Andy's
cousin, and his sister Mable who was Howard Sprague's mama

Don't it just clench you right in the heart to see Barney disparaging Rafe
Hollister's singing in the first quarter of the show, only to support him once
the mayor decided Rafe was not to represent Mayberry in the musicale? Barney
could have been portrayed as a poor sport throughout but he
