a couple of months ago the clock started jumping
FORWARD (not backward or lose time) one hour.
If he's anything like certain members of my family, he may well have been
taken in by one of those fake error message banners on the web that say
your computer's clock is not optimised!

Is it set to the right time zone? Mine jumps forward automatically when
Summer Time (here in GB) comes in. (Daylight Saving for you!)
Maybe it's set to a time Zone one hour ahead of where he is?

how it happened, but IE picked up spy aware in some of the websites I
visited when I added them to my favorites. I have been getting popups
