Yahoo groups is a mail list with a web interface that people can choose to
access if they want. It is not a forum in the same sense we are discussing. I
own/moderate several Yahoo and Google Groups. That is why they are called
groups not forums.

You have limited control, on our lists it is text based ads at the bottom of
each email but not images, not html. By setting the list to classic format
and no html you get unobtrusive stuff most ignore. g

on and off list depending on job situations but WDVL was right there with me
when I made the plunge into web development several years back.
I remember the shock when MOU revealed his true identity. :-)
Yup, as long as it's OK with Linda and the WDVL crew to use the WDVL
name for the offshoot list, I'll set it up and send out the
subscription link :)
Since WDVL.com is a viable internet.com website, it would probably be

You might want 8 publish the sign-up info for the companion social list to
this one. Many of the long term members are already subscribed but I don't
think anything has been mentioned about it for a long time.
Note, I aged with the others that this has been a beneficial best. I'll miss
it.
