Hi Milian,
I would upstream the patches to ANGLE and then update the ANGLE revision in
WebKit. If the changes are small, you could upstream them to ANGLE first and
then land them directly in WebKit's copy of ANGLE. Periodically, we update the
ANGLE revision in WebKit with the latest ANGLE sourc

Hey there,
the last days I've spent on trying to get a QtWebKit with OpenGL support, see
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95466 for an assortment of patches.
To get it compiling, I had to patch ANGLE source code and Simon Hausmann told
me he is not comfortable in reviewing these patches.
Angle in webkit is only the shader translator, which doesn't change
very often, whereas the main Angle (GLES simulation on top of D3D) is
still under active development.
We should update webkit Angle from time to time, but if it's outdated,
no need to be alarmed. We definitely don't need to updat
Our version of ANGLE seems to be out of date:

Who owns keeping our copy updated?

Indeed, my copy of build-webkit was out of date on both clients, and I
don't know why. A manual "svn update" on that file brought down the
new version. Thanks for the help!

I'm getting the same failure in two clients, and the second has
nothing checked out.
This is on OSX 10.5.8, using the standard webkit build scripts and
code synced yesterday [several times, same error]. Given that I don't
hear anyone else screaming, there's probably something wrong with my

Hi,
ANGLE looks like a graphics helper library. Why it is placed in the root
WebKit directory? Perhaps WebCore/platform/graphics or some kind of
/3rparty directory would be better, wouldn't it?
