Thanks to Thomas I have an answer. The password field is not the password to your account but is the key that WU generates. I put that key in the password field in this very helpfully URL and bobs your uncle it worked. Did the same in the weewx.conf and now I am reporting to WU once again with

Paul, the driver is very well documented. It might make sense to spend some time and read the instructions. It will help you get setup and understand what's going on. Otherwise, we'll need to see some debugs, some configs and more detail aside from "it's not working".

The API key is only needed to download data through their API. The upload protocol has not changed. 1, Are you sure you have the right station ID and password? It looks like an authorization error. 2. WU can be very unreliable. Are you getting the error consistently? Or, just every once in a

No idea what the WMII does for a checksum. Possibilities 1. A simple XOR'ing of the bytes. But, this would leave you with a 1 byte checksum, and it seems the WMII uses 2 bytes. I don't think they would XOR 2 bytes at a time, because then you would have to worry about the "endianness"

I don't have a WF, but the lack of static IP may not be an issue if your router is able to do DHCP Reservations. If you can get the MAC Address of the device, and set a DHCP Reservation for it, then the device will get the same IP every time it renews its DHCP lease. This is how I manage all
