Understand that many programs e.g., WWWOFFLE, monitoring this date will thus cause a false notification to their user, who then looks to find nothing changed in RecentChanges. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25000 --- Comment #13 from Platonides 2011-02-03 19:30:59 UTC --- It's probably faster to perform your request directly in bugzilla, marked with the shell keyword. The code at bug 21510#c1 can be taken as reference. As you see, the parameters used there are the project, the ip from which to lift the limit, what value to set, and the time range in which the greater range should be used. [Bug 27140] update.php causes Last-Modified HTTP header to be updated without any basis in fact
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27140 Bawolff changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED CC||bawolff...@gmail.com Resolution||WORKSFORME --- Comment #1 from Bawolff 2011-02-03 20:34:17 UTC --- Can not reproduce on trunk. (While once i disable $wgUseRCPatrol, which messes with last mod header) However, if the update script makes any edits (and those edits get included in the RC, perhaps hidden as bot), which might happen if it deletes old messages that are the same as the default (but that'd only be updating from a really old version), that would obviously reset the timestamp as it should) >Understand that many programs e.g., WWWOFFLE, monitoring this date will >thus cause a false notification to their user, who then looks to find >nothing changed in RecentChanges. The last-modified date could mean anything changed, not necessarily someone edited. For example installing an extension (which will touch the modified time on LocalSettings.php, and in the default config update $wgCacheEpoch) will also reset this date. Changing your user prefs will also update this date (because that can affect what the RC looks like). If you want to know when the last person edited, you should use the date of when the last person edited, not the date that page changed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 27145] New: Fix font declarations
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27145 Summary: Fix font declarations Product: MediaWiki extensions Version: any Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Normal Component: SyntaxHighlight (GeSHi) AssignedTo: soxre...@gmail.com ReportedBy: er...@darcoury.nl GeSHi is inserting redundant and even less necessary into the generated HTML. Redundant because the inline generated CSS already contains the necessary font declaration, and is already using a monospace font. The way it is currently declared also has problems in several browsers that cause the text to be too small (see bug 20706, for which a general fix has been applied, but also needs to be applied here), and also interferes with sitewide CSS (ie. common.css). What needs to be done: * Remove the inline, hardcoded font styling from the generated HTML (as it is already present in the generated CSS) * Change the default font declaration in the generated CSS to style="font-family: monospace, 'Courier New';" (see bug 20706 for explanation; the objective is not to prefer Courier New, but to trigger the correct behaviour of those borwsers) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

Roughly since Vector came I have put a font-size:120% in my global.css for Wikimedia wikis to make them readable again. In my setup (Safari 5 / Mac) since Vector the size of code sources is now below the minimum for anti-aliasing which makes the code really pixelated and hard to read (like 8 or 10px). https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26204 --- Comment #5 from Erwin Dokter 2011-02-03 22:02:37 UTC --- I opened a new bug because this one was in the wrong category (and could not be changed unless closed). But to reitterate: GeSHi is inserting redundant and even less necessary into the generated HTML. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26204 --- Comment #8 from Happy-melon 2011-02-03 22:27:13 UTC --- We can implement it in a RL'd CSS module included on GeSHi pages; I didn't mean we should make individual wikis fix it in site CSS. It only makes sense to push changes upstream if this is a problem which affects all uses of the GeSHi engine, not just its use in MediaWiki; if that's not the case, we should be doing whatever we need to at a MW level, which pretty much reduces us to !important, unless GeSHi has a hook API (I haven't checked). [Bug 27146] New: Regression? AJAX watch fails when $wgActionPaths used for watch, unwatch
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27146 Summary: Regression? AJAX watch fails when $wgActionPaths used for watch, unwatch Product: MediaWiki Version: 1.18-svn Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: Normal Component: Javascript AssignedTo: d...@ucsc.edu ReportedBy: br...@pobox.com CC: tpars...@wikimedia.org Tested as of r81491; relevant bit of code was last touched in r78150. When initializing the AJAX behavior for the watch tab, it seems that current code tries to divine the target page title from the link URL on the watch tab, then save that title as extra data associated with the link node: in mediawiki.action.watch.ajax.js: var title = mw.util.getParamValue( 'title', link.href ); $link.data( 'target', title.replace( /_/g, ' ' ) ); This unfortunately fails when the target link doesn't use a query string parameter -- mw.util.getParamValue() is unable to find it, and the next line throws an error: title is null [Break On This Error] $link.data('target',title.replace(/_/g,' ')); As a result, AJAX watch fails to initialize properly, and the unhandled exception may also halt initialization of other UI elements. This code probably doesn't need to be trying to pull a title from the link manually; it should probably just be using the available wgTitle. Steps to reproduce: 1) Set some items in $wgActionPaths, say: $actions = array('watch', 'unwatch'); foreach ($actions as $a) { $wgActionPaths[$a] = "$wgScriptPath/action/$a/$1"; } 2) Set up appropriate rewrite rules or helper scripts to pass /action/(un)?watch/Foo over to /index.php?action=blah&title=Foo 3) Load up a page view while logged in. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l

[Bug 27152] New: Using $wgRevokePermissions doesn't revoke protection permissions when the 'editprotected' permission is assigned
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27152 Summary: Using $wgRevokePermissions doesn't revoke protection permissions when the 'editprotected' permission is assigned Product: MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: Normal Component: Page protection AssignedTo: wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org ReportedBy: wweraw...@hotmail.com If a user group is given the 'editprotected' right, and then a specific protection right is revoked, the revoking doesn't work. For example: $wgGroupPermissions['mygroup']['editprotected'] = true; $wgRevokePermissions['mygroup']['mylevel'] = true; I would expect that in this case, if a page was protected to the 'mylevel' level, then the 'mygroup' group would not be able to edit that page. The actual outcome is that revoking the 'mylevel' right has no affect. In addition, if the 'mygroup' group also has the 'protect' permission, they can unprotect the page to a lower level. For example: $wgGroupPermissions['mygroup']['protect'] = true; $wgGroupPermissions['mygroup']['editprotected'] = true; $wgGroupPermissions['mygroup']['someotherlevel'] = true; $wgRevokePermissions['mygroup']['mylevel'] = true; I would expect that in this case, if a page was protected to the 'mylevel' level, then the 'mygroup' group would not be able to unprotect the page. The actual outcome is that they can unprotect it, and/or change the protection level to 'someotherlevel', which in my case is a lower level. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26639 --- Comment #18 from Daniel Friesen 2011-02-04 07:49:29 UTC --- Hmmm, ok, either this has something to do with me upgrading some stuff on my server probably not or there's something wrong with the output in the pages I'm using to test on my test wiki causing XHTML errors tidy can't handle and instead results in tidy being ignored... guess I need to play with test pages. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Wikibugs-l mailing list Wikibugs-l@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
