Yes, I'm fine with annual.wikimedia.org provided we design it intentionally to
not be exclusive to WMF. Let's merge this tomorrow unless there are any other
concerns.
We're not moving our monthly reports or other documents over at this time and
are IMO unlikely to

@MZMcBride There's nothing wrong with that URL for (a link to) the wiki
version, but it shouldn't be used for a static microsite because any /wiki/ URL
can be reasonably expected to point to, well, a wiki page. Since we're going to
set up a non /wiki/ URL for it, we

so far we have pretty much every service in wikimedia.org instead of
wikimediafoundation.org. i think we should probably stick with something in
wikimedia.org for consistency, unless we want to generally change this and use

It seems to follow that annual.wikimedia.org would be the best choice. Perhaps
afterward we can archive all reports in some structure under
reports.wikimedia.org.

I like annual.wikimedia.org/2014 . The only caveat is that wikimedia.org
technically could refer both to WMF and a chapter, and indeed some chapters
host their websites as country-code subdomains xx.wikimedia.org. That caveat
applies to transparency.wikimedia.org as

I like the style from T599#10022.
reports.wikimedia.org/annual/2014 or maybe
reports.wikimedia.org/foundation/annual/2014
reports.wikimedia.org/chapters/fr//annual/2014 given the comments about
including chapters.

Please let's not make it so complex. At least before archiving,
annual.wikimedia.org + links to chapter reports, sounds like a clean solution.

the only thing we would not like from ops point of view is multiple levels of
subdomains, so please no reports.fr.wikimedia.org for the French chapter for
example because that is a problem with SSL certs. everything else sounds fine.
as long as there is an index page

Interesting issue.
I think we came to this name with the idea of additional reports, but
http://transparency.wikimedia.org/ is different in two ways. We should find a
similar convention for both, yes? Is there a chance we would move transparency
if we make an overall

read the gerrit comment as suggested the name to other engineering people but
totally like a draft / request for comments which can be changed anytime before
we actually merge/use it, it's just sitting there in a waiting queue but can
be changed anytime

Awesome!
I have an actual request now. We would like
reports.wikimediafoundation.org/annual and in the future they would be archived
like, reports.wikimediafoundation.org/annual/2012
Let me know if there is anything else to address. Thank you again.

Hi,
It's not about https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Annual_Report, that is the
wiki version. It's about a new version, similar to the recent transparency
report. We need both.
I'm not sure how to interpret the gerrit comment, did you already go ahead?
Thank you
