Hi Wayne,
Just a quick note to clarify the idea of a Q&A answer forum. (which is good
and i know is not cast in stone)
One thing we are coming down to in a few other places is this idea of
having a "general" space, from which more detailed forums can be linked; a

Hi Anil,
I would have created it on WE, if I had known that we had a poll
application on WE. I don't have the luxury of working with Wayne directly
anymore, so am not a the root of new developments all the time.
I have taken the poll I had created off of FB not to confuse people We

Dear Patricia,
Excellent work! Thank you very much for moving forward with the
preparations for conducting the poll based on the nominations received. I
am also in favour of conducting the poll in WikiEducator using the poll
widget as Dr. Wayne and you have discussed. As per the tentative sche
No worries Patricia,
The poll widget is relatively new and we have trialed this with a few polls
- it should work rather well for this purpose.
Let me know where you set up the page in the wiki to keep track of this
project and I will help set up the widget.
Cheers

I agree with you, Wayne, just didn't know we had such application.

Hi Patricia,
Great to see international community collaboration in moving this idea
forward.
I'm wondering whether it wouldn't be better to host the poll on
WikiEducator. For two reasons:
- We remain true to our community values associated with the free
cultural works definition and commi
Dear All,
I loved the exchanges and the community participation in trying to find
a suitable name for the new WE activities of establishing a
"'WikiEducator Community College".
I thought perhaps we could make a bit easier to vote on the many
suggestions made, and so I have created a poll,

I have another thought, how about WikiEducator People's Academy, if this
is what the consensus will be? It could be replaced with Institute or
College as well.
Just brainstorming.

I like both of those Ellen...they are more descriptive, less confusing and define what this is about. :-) JMcK-wikieducator@googlegroups.com wrote: -To: "wikieducator@googlegroups.com" From: ellen.mur...@esc.eduSent by: wikieducator@googlegroups.comDate: 05/02/2012 07:05AMCc: "Wayne Mac

Dear friends,
Just thinking some more about a suitable name. I have one more
suggestion. How about 'WikiEducator Open College". While I like Wayne's
suggestion of an 'Academy", I am wondering if people think it is
accredited which it is not at this point. Academy has definitely a good

Great idea Anil
I think a name that clarifies the intent, ie "a college or academy that
exists to further educators skills using wikieducator" is a good idea,
although this is too verbose.

Dear All,
I like the ideas out forth so far, but would like to suggest that we think of
the name as a recruiting tool as well--for example: what terms might an
individual, interested in what we offer, use on a search engine that would lead
them to us. I suggest that for those who are not famili
