Re: [Wikisource-l] Wikisource Survey Report

2013-11-23 Thread Andrea Zanni
Hi guys,
sorry to bother you but we really need your help.
Here:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikisource_Community_User_Group/Wikisource_survey_report
you can find the survey.

We need help with:
* translations (in Polish, Russian, Ukranian, Hebrew, Italian, French,
Spanish, German, etc.)
* formatting (few things)
* analysis.

Tell us what you think of our analysis, and write your interpretation as
well.
This survey is from the Wikisource Community User Group, so it's much
better if all of you take a look.

We are running out of time (we have only few days left, at least me and
Micru for finalising our IEG report) so, the sooner the better.

Thanks!

Aubrey

I'm also concerned about the interpretation of the data. I would appreciate
a peer review and some comments to ensure that the data was interpreted as
impartially as possible.

Thanks

Ok guys, after (more than) 2 weeks, the survey will be closed tonight.
If you still need to fill it in, do it *now*.
We then will have to analyze the 250 responses :-)

2013-10-14 Thread Arnd
Hi,

is there any page containing short information about the idea behind
this survey and maybe the main people involved in it? Then, we could
link (and/or translate) this page on our local Wikisources. This way,
users could inform theirselves and maybe get more motivated to answer
the survey.

Hi all,
have you posted the link to the survey in your personal Wikisource?
https://wikimedia.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6taoDVAWcg6vSIZ
I suggest you do it as soon as possible, and maybe directly use the

to do so, before).

*We will shut the survey down in 2 weeks*, so, better hurry :-)

Re: [Wikisource-l] Wikisource survey

2013-10-12 Thread Andrea Zanni
Dear all, thanks to your amazing work,
we now have the survey in 11 languages!
(which are)
English
French
Italian
Hindi
Catalan
Spanish
Russian
Dutch
German
Ukrainian
Polish

The survey can be translated in less than an hour, so if you want to do
that tell us NOW.
We were thinking of activating the survey and spreading it for tomorrow
(Sunday 13) evening, CET time, in order to making it available for 2 whole
weeks, from Monday 14 till Monday 28.

We encourage you to talk with your language community in these days: the
survey could be linked in the village pumps, or, even better, in the
sitenotice.

We are aware that every community has different policies and customs, so
it's much better that you talk to you own, and decide together.

The link to the survey should always be this one:
https://wikimedia.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_6taoDVAWcg6vSIZ
If you have problem, please tell us.
If you need any kind of assistance, please ask.
And thanks again for the amazing work :-)

Aubrey and Micru

The question is not stupid at all,
I was not clear enough.

*That is the survey draft*.

The real survey will be powered by Qualtrics, a software used by the
Wikimedia Foundation.
I will implement the edited survey in Qualtrics and then send you the final
link.

So, right now, you are not asked to reply, but just to improve the survey.
