I'd offer technical reason not to buy 900 system based primarily on price. The build-your-own gear using XR9 or SR9 type cards or wifi systems converted to do 900 are inferior to popular proprietary 900 systems in many cases where interference exists. I have used Alvarion BA-II 900, Trango 900
