[WISPA] New (to me) Tower site
www.antennasearch.com It includes a lot more than the FCC's database. If you see a tall tower, but don't see it on the FCC's site, you can check here to see who it belongs to. It identified an FBI and FAA tower in my area. Now to figure out who to coordinate with to remove towers that don't actually exist, or have dual registrations. - Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions http://www.ics-il.com -- WISPA Wireless List: wireless@wispa.org Subscribe/Unsubscribe: http://lists.wispa.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless Archives: http://lists.wispa.org/pipermail/wireless/
Re: [WISPA] New (to me) Tower site
I should have pointed out when I posted the link on tower-pro - because this lists FAA registrations and applications, it will show some sites that are either not built, that were planned and never built, etc. - Original Message - From: "Mike Hammett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "WISPA General List" Sent: Wednesday, June 06, 2007 9:52 AM Subject: [WISPA] New (to me) Tower site www.antennasearch.com It includes a lot more than the FCC's database. Re: [WISPA] Tranzeo not functioning properly
What firmware are you running, there was a bug where it would not pass traffic that was fixed in 3.0.4 of the firmware. We had some issues with the 58 FDD links, one was dropping connection intermittently during the day, narrowing the channel down to 5mhz made it work alot better. I was pretty sure this problem is with the distance of the link, when we purchased the FDD link the saleperson told us it would be able to go 10-13 miles. Turns out tranzeo recommends a link distance of 5 miles. Ryan On Wed, 2007-05-30 at 16:47 -0400, RC wrote: > Anybody have issues with Tranzeo 5.8 APs? > > We have had about 5 die out of 40. Just my opinion, I've beat down tranzeo enough in the past to cover a year or so, but Tranzeos are not built for durability or longevity. Our company has experienced a 25% or more failure rate on their entire line of products. Stu might tell you different though ;-) Zack On 6/6/07, Ryan Langseth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: What firmware are you running, there was a bug where it would not pass traffic that was fixed in 3.0.4 of the firmware. Over the past year we've installed about 100 of their CPQ-19s and I've sent 3 back. Could it be your climate? We have very mild temperatures for the most part...neither really hot or really cold. Re: [WISPA] Tranzeo not functioning properly
Wow! We had over 10% with SB units. Our reliability with Tranzeo has been in the 99%+++ range though. We *might* have to send back one out of 100. I will say though, these new CPQ radios are doing some strange things. Not the least of which is reporting signal levels around 10 dB below what I know I should be getting based on the calculated values. They work but sure report low signal levels. It's very strange. RE: [WISPA] Tranzeo not functioning properly
We ordered a batch of 5plus units last winter. They didn't perform to calculated levels, so we put em on the bench and tested them with a meter. All tested below manufacturer's spec. We haven't seen the same reliability with the regular 5a units that you describe below. For what it's worth...
