Yes, we have re-flashed as well but we'd rather not use resources to keep going out to do so. We feel there may be a HW issue and are working w/Cisco EFA on further investigation. On Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 1:07 PM, Joachim Tingvold wrote: > On 19 Jan 2017, at 21:46,

Cisco AP 'flash' bug

2017-01-19 Thread Garret Peirce
Over the last few months we've run into/discovered a Cisco bug and I was curious if any in this community have been seeing it as well. In a nutshell, it appears the flash is being corrupted and the AP then enters a boot loop or fails to boot at all.We are apparently seeing a failure rate of

We run 8.3 on some new 8540s. We moved to 8.3 to resolve a DFS issue in 8.2 (CSCuy45955 - AP stops xmitting beacons after some # of DFS events). This is fairly silent btw, look for a dearth of 5G clients and/or cleanair being down. I'm not on the daily battlefield of wireless support so much

Apple / Broadcom 4360 issue

2014-04-16 Thread Garret Peirce
Wanted to share an issue we've been chasing down over the last few months. We have passed on our findings to Apple as well in hopes it can be addressed. Originally noticed as post-2013 MacBook Airs having difficulty acquiring an IP address via DHCP in a WPA2-PSK Cisco environment. Long story

We've been working on a wireless DHCP oddity and thought I'd mention it to the group and see if others may have seen such behavior. I'm working with our Apple contacts to investigate further. The symptom is a MacBook Air (OSX 10.9) , awakening from sleep, using it's 802.11 interface and taking a

I'm using 7.5 on some 8510s w/PI1.3 , mainly due to CSCty84682 - dropping mcast packets (ex. bonjour announcements). As a formerly discussed topic, I'm finding browser support is growing evermore painful. I was holding off on PI 1.4 hoping not to get myself wedged into a specific train, but I'm

Thought I'd ask if anyone else thinks AP groups and FlexC groups overlap a bit and would be less apt to cause confusion if combined under a single feature/screen. I'm using both each in limited fashion to group configure the same set of APs. AP Group: to set allowed WLANs, and set RF profiles

AppleTV service string and Cisco 7.4 Bonjour gateway

I ran into this issue and thought I'd pass it on. Using Cisco's bonjour gateway feature in 7.4, I found I could make use of Airplay through the Photo App but nothing else. Working with Apple, we found that the service string for AppleTV being looked for in iOS (6.1?) devices has changed from:
