We have a deployment of over 1500 Meru access point connected to a mixture

problems. Code upgrades may fix the immediate problem, but then cause a
new batch of issues. For example, the last upgrade we went from 4.0-105

Meru:

Just upgraded to 4.0-150. So far it seems fine. It resolved the administration
interface lock ups we were seeing.
- What style of AP's do you use
We have mix of 208's and 311's.
- Do you use different style access points within the same air
Thanks for all the great feedback, it is appreciated. I have another question
regarding coexisting. Did anyone have Meru and Cisco running at the same time
and what issues did you see. Obviously with our current state of funding we
can't fork-lift replace our entire Cisco wireless system so
I have Meru running along side Cisco and 5G access points without any
issues. As I introduce Meru APs, I perform a site survey and try and
use a channel not being used by the Cisco APs. I still use the Meru
single-cell architecture as I complete each building and phase out all
the older
Hi Randy,
We're long time customers of Meru, have been please with the product
support. We have a mix of AP208s (a/g) AP320 (a/g/n), over 1100
altogether. We also use their EzRF product for managing the
controllers. We like the single channel architecture, which works well
for us. In
All 3 campuses of the University of Toronto are happy Meru customers.
By the end of August this year, all buildings at the Mississauga Campus will
have full wireless coverage by Meru. We started with our Residence last year
and is now replacing and expanding our existing wireless
Hi Randy,
Morrisville has been a happy Meru customer since 2007. We have over 800 AP320s
blanketing the entire campus. We were their first 11n customer on a new
controller platform, so we had our share of bugs, but Meru helped us through
them years ago.
I’d be happy to answer any specific
Randy,
We have about 1100 AP320s right now and are installing a few hundred more over
the next month or two. We have been very happy with this system. There have
been no major issues and everything has worked as advertised. There have been
minor issues, as there are with every product, but
We have ~2300 APs on campus and are satisfied with the system.
There's some functionality (VLAN pooling, Native IPv6 support) that we
would like to see in the product.

I just heard a pitch for MERU
A couple years ago we tested Meru, Aruba and Cisco wireless out in one of our
buildings to see which system would best fit our environment. During the Meru
test we had a serious failure caused by a bug in the code. Later I found out
there was a work around, but as a result of that I had the

We plan on rolling out IPv6 on our secured SSID by at least World IPv6
day and have been running on a test SSID for several weeks now.
Using RA to assign the addresses.
No issues so far.
We have only tested it on 4.0 MR2.
