I've noticed that - at least in FT4/8 - if you enable TX towards the end of a cycle TX starts inmediately despite it won't have the time to transmit something useable. I think it would be helpful if - optionally or not - TX is prevented to start until the next turn when there isn't enough

Glenn, Why not just stop the second xmit time sequence by hitting the the Enable Tx or Halt Tx button? Then re-enable xmit by hitting the Enable Tx for the next sequence you want to xmit. After all you are the control operator for your station. Also then no changes to the code need to be made.

Here's a recommendation for an upgrade: Since the 2.6.0 release you've had the option for CQ response to be 'None', 'First' and 'Max Dist'. How about adding the option to auto respond to 'First New Grid'. This will help when the band is busy and there are multiple responses to your CQ.

I'm finding the little green marker for receiving to be too small, especially when the waterfall is full of signals. It don't stick out like the red marker. As seconds are critical, spending a second or two to find it can be critical. Would it be possible to increase it's height, like X2?
