[wsjt-devel] Strict callsign

Forwarding from Andy In WSJT-X v2.3.0 rc2:Apparently, the regular expression in Radio.cpp named strict_standard_callsign_re doesn't match 2x1 call signs. The consequence is that anyone with a 2x1 call can't skip the grid msg by double-clicking the Tx1 button. 73 Andy WM8Q Seems a slight

[wsjt-devel] Wrong frequency written in ALL.TXT when changing band during decoding

2020-12-21 Thread Daniele Forsi
Hello, I was using WSJT-X v2.3.0-rc2 on 30 meters, then I changed to 20 meters before the decoding phase was completed and the last two decodes were written to the ALL.TXT file with a frequency of 14.074 instead of 10.136. Here are the last lines in ALL.TXT and the F6DAY station was on 30m, not

Thanks Bill, Your clear summary is _very_ helpful. How the Audio device renumbering problem affects my use of WSJT-X: my other ‘audio’ task is essential; thus WSJT-X cycles will be lost; what I dislike: forgetting to restart WSJT-X then the delayed discovery of having lost many cycles.

Hi Dave, I did read it, it is not a straight forward as you suggest since the contest types supported by FT8/FT4/MSK144 are more generic than the ones enumerated by the ADIF specification. I am not ignoring your suggestion, I just don't see an easy solution without adding new configuration

There are few Arduino based balloon trackers that generate WPSR and APRS signals. There is an Arduino library called JT8Encode which is the software behind some of them. This is the entire signal processing from bytes to RF but easily adapted to insertion at any point in the processing.

I've been messing about with a function which exports the tone parameters and sends them to a UDP program which then programs a DDS. Not for LF/VLF, this is for a multiplied transmit chain on SHF. The GFSK transitions in FT8 etc are added later in wsjt-x but for this lash-up, I took the values

Someone I know has forked WSJT-X to get the tone sequence at the start of the TX cycle, which he then passes to a microcontroller embedded inside an FM radio, which is set up to change the frequency of the unmodulated FM carrier as per FT8 tones. RX is an RTL dongle. He makes contacts this way, so

You still build a transmitter and or receiver, but it is not a "whole SSB rig" as mentioned. Just a PA driven with a pair of D/A chips followed by a filter or tank circuit to the antenna.  The essence of an SDR. At much higher frequencies, that could be mounted at the antenna to save on
