A 'separate small group' wasn't exactly my proposal, Take: I simply
suggested that rather than simply assuming or asserting that there is an
issue with overcrowding and pushing for something to be done, we should take
a more scientific approach.
What would help address the claim (hypothesis)
If there are strong signals, those close ALC and weak signals have no chance

in many cases there is more than one over +10dB, so it's difficult to catch

All in all: It's evident that some stations are using kW and directional
antennas in FT8!
FT8 is NOT A QRP MODE ANY LONGER!
JT9 was the last one which favoured QRP stations and wire antennas.
Beside this, there is a tendency of using high power in certain stations
mainly in Southern Europe!

Hi Saku,
Your logger knows a lot about the callsigns it displays. Once my changes are merged, cqrlog will be able to share some of this
knowledge with WSJT-X so that the operator can see your colors directly in the Band Activity panel. You can use my

From the first page of K1JT's website:
OK Gary,
You've got the job. :-) When will the report be ready. Then what's next? It
doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where the number of FT8 users is
goingUP, UP, UP!!!FT8 use will continue to expand and with it, the need
for additional frequencies. Although it appears that

Hello,
I have written some code that allows a UDP server, e.g., a logger, to
tell WSJT-X what background color to use for each callsign in the Band
Activity panel. This might be useful to those who chase various
awards, if the logger assigns
That sounds like your audio stream froze.Possible causes:
#1 RF in the shack. #2 USB going to sleep -- this should only happen if PC is
left unattended.
This is happening while your operating, right? In that case RF is the likely
culprit. Does happen when you transmit?Lots of potential
I too have an auxiliary app to keep up with what FT8 stations are needed for
new ones.

Good day,
My server works in sync with WSJT-X now.
My mistakes might be of interest for others, so I wish to share this
conclusion with you.
First of all, I wish to thank David, Laurie VK3AMA, Brian and Bill G4WJS
for their suggestions to my previous messages.
They gave me feedbacks that
