Derek,

that doesn't clarify anything for me. The ability for external
applications to highlight callsigns *is* feature of WSJT-X, are you
proposing we add a feature that is already there? I don't understand.

Hi Derek,

the internals of the decoded message windows is high on the list for
major refactoring, until that is completed I doubt there will be any
significant changes to behaviour.

For your (2) above, can you be more specific as I don't understand

I can also see the advantage to this. However, I would make a modification to

Seems like a good candidate for a user selectable preference - only show QSO
partner calls. If the preference were added, however, it would probably be good
to have it as a front panel check box for easy access.

2019-08-03 Thread Bill Frantz

Then it's working as designed.

I like the idea that all incoming transmissions that contain my
call are given special emphasis. If I'm not busy, I can
frequently answer the station in the current cycle. If I'm in
the middle of a QSO with some other station, I'll try to get
back to the calling station when I'm finished with the current QSO.

I don't know of preference which will change this behavior.

Yes, exactly. It displays decodes of anyone calling me
regardless of the frequency.

Most times I'm in QSO with Asia on 40 m I am jumped on by
several JA and it makes it difficult to follow the QSO I'm
in.I appreciate that sometimes it may be useful to have all
calling stations displayed in one place but I can't see any
reason it would be useful while in QSO. Those calling
stations can be found by clicking JTAlert or the Band Activity
window if there is some reason to abandon the current QSO and
work a station which is attempting to interrupt it.

Is there any way to configure WSJT-X so the Rx Frequency window
only displays decodes at the Rx Frequency?

Looks perfectly normal to me.  The "Rx Frequency" window gets anything
decoded within a few Hz of Rx Freq and anything containing your own
call.  The green goal posts did not move to your new QSO partner's
frequency because you did not double-click on his call to start the
QSO.  You had "Call 1st" enabled, so the QSO started automatically
when he replied to your CQ.

Should QSOs with your callsign go to the Rx Frequency window also? And change
the title to "Rx Frequency + Messages" ??
I find it a little problematic when responders come in outside of the rx
window.  With almost 100% operation on the right window one can end up missing
the left window (which I've done more than a few times).
