My camera clicks, too, but I don't use it often enough to worry about it.
I learned of a GPS patch on the XDA website and applied it. My internal
GPS now comes online in seconds vs. minutes. Since I connect to my
CAI302, that's not a big deal, either. I have GPS Status installed, BTW.
