As for DacSpeed, I got this clock range (12.00 to 230.00 MHz) after setting DacSpeed, before setting it I got 12.00 to 163.00 MHz. I have also reset the sync/refresh rages to their original values, which the following logfile should reflect. And here is the entire /var/log/XFree86.0.log - tha

The DacSpeed entry had no effect. (I tried it on your first recommendation.) I have also tried changing my sync/refresh rates from HorizSync30.0 - 115.0 VertRefresh 50.0 - 160.0 to HorizSync30.0 - 90.0 VertRefresh 55.0 - 85.0 as suggested by someone else in the group
