I had your same wishes a while ago and the same proble struck me: the lack of
of information about it.
One good thing is that all window managers are open source, so what I did was
to download all the source I could and investigate how they work. I suggest
you the same.

Monitor: 19 Future Power.
Problem:
when I do Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, monitor turns off, hard disks
wind down and machine goes to sleep.
The motherboard BIOS / CMOS Setup utility doesn't have a

Hello,
I am trying to figure out how the Xcursor extension of XFree86 4.3 works
and I can only find partial information, no complete documentation. I
would like to know if it is possible, using Xcursor and the
~/icons/default/index.theme file, to enlarge the X cursors for all
applications.

You generally just need to do make World and then make install
from the top level xc directory. X should not be running when you
do the make install part.

On the page where it describes the types of xfree downloads 'binaries' or
'tarbells'.
It says to find the correct binaries to download, i should download and run
Xinstall.sh.
