Personally, I put the few extra $$ in a 10k rpm hdd to help offset a bottle
neck. Since then I moved to a pure SSD system and moved the 5 Tb of media
to a network storage device. The one I bought supports ssh mounting and ais
easily seen as just another directory.

Personally, if you had it to spare I would pull the original HDD and put
another in (any small HDD of 50GB+ would do) to at least practice the dual
boot unless you can protect the recovery partition. In Linux avoiding it
is usually straight forward. Wish I had more info. I burned all my
Windows machines some time ago and went with Linux like Cortez and his
ships. I have helped business clients build dual boot systems, though it
has been a minute. HIT.

try in cli:
killall -9 thunar
killall will except the -9 non-graceful exit option and will target all
thunar instances.

you look for new solution or if the popularity of the fork is sufficient it
will be picked up by another. OpenOffice/Libre Office, Ubuntu/Xubuntu by
example. Change, while inconvenient, is a necessary part of lif
that does the end user to take
some responsibility and effort for there system and education.

Android/Iphone. There are at least a dozen programs available if all you
want is to get to the chat channel for help. Ppl here are happy to help

Additionally, you should have on your laptop function keys which will cycle
monitor settings. Mine is fn+F10 on a Lenovo. The cycle should be

Each program may/does have it's own preference setting. Some software will
call on the system and some, like Thunderbird I believe, will set the
preference locally within itself.

Generally speaking pgup/pgdwn button will scroll 1 "page". clicking in the
space above or below the scroll position indicator on the scroll bar will
page up or down respectively as well. Are you looking for something more

Personally, if you are printing a lot of documents then the cost of a laser
printer along with cost of ownership is much cheaper than inkjet... and it
doesn't clog ;). B/W is cheapest with the color very affordable. Also, did
