Didn't the Nephites adopt something similar in terms of freedom of
religion, etc.? I don't mean a President and Congress, however.

I'm with you on this one, John. Everytime I say something like "I can't
wait until..." I get the weirdest looks from people--especially at
church!
But, I feel that the life I have been given--with its many hardships and
trials--gives me increasing strength to hold-up during the worst of it.
My skin gets tougher every day, but my faith also increases. During
those times, we are going to have to rely on our testimonies more than we
have ever in the past (or even at present).

>I've wanted out of here for some time. Does that mean I'm wrong?

Some people have a real hard time living in this lousy world. Coping
skills vary too. I'm rather weak and have panic/anxiety attacks that
cannot be easily controlled and do silly outbursts in public or sometimes
act like a complete idiot. That might not be your problem--but I'm sure
you have your own bag of troubles as we all do. Just hang in there. If I
can do it anyone can because I'm a real mess.

Death is a wonderful release for the righteous and an essential ordinance
of the gospel. I hope I'm the first person on this list to experience
this ordinance. Try not to get mad at God because it just doesn't do any
good. I've been through it and sometimes I think God is real mean and I
just want to yell at him but I love him so much so I don't yell at him
very often.

talk as if the government is the great enemy of our lives. I think the

Re: [ZION] Governing the Least

2002-11-08 Thread Stacy Smith
Just what is predicted will happen. We will be overrun and the people that
will be left will be in anarchy. Only a relatively few of us (those in the
church that are left) will be the ones to save ourselves and the remnant of
the people. This is the way I see the prophecies that have been made, and,
unfortunately, I will live to see it. The flip side, of course, is that
there will only be a little misery before the Messiah comes back to rule,
but I really do not wish to go through that kind of misery. I'm beginning
to wish I could die before that happens.

Stacy.

Our government threatens our liberties more than any terrorists. Over a
generation ago it became a rogue state exceeding its Constitutional
authority. It is out of control. A wise man once said, "The government
which governs the least governs the best." I was not being facetious. The
