It's free! It's Open Source! It's awesome! Although to tell the truth, doing
productions in Blender drew me to code, rather than vice versa. (AKA I'm a
Python n00b.)

As someone who initially learned Maya backward and forward before learning
Blender, it fixes a lot of Maya's systemic failings and, to be fair, has a
handful of dubious UI choices. Production wise, I've used it for every part
of the production process almost always as effectively as Maya, and often
times more so.
