So can you tell us a bit about Seabug?
I'm not Oscar :-), but I can tell you a bit about SeaBUG and Python...
Seattle Blender Users Group (SeaBUG) -- not to be confused with Seattle
BSD Users Group (SeaBUG) -- meets quarterly, at Art Institute of Seattle
lab. The last event was June 4, so the next one is about 3 months away,
AFAIK.

Blender is the best open source 3D modeling tool available. And it is
extensible via Python. Initial ramp-up is worse than Vim or Emacs, but
payoff is good.

Oscar is an artist, runs SeaBUG, I've attended it, and am learning
Blender. I believe Oscar is learning Python. Oscar gave the Blender talk
at LinuxFest NW recently.
If you're going to OSCon, there's a talk about using Python with Blender.
