Dear SeaPIG folks:

The UW Summer Youth Programs (academically-oriented enrichment opportunities
for elementary,
middle and high school students) is currently looking for an instructor to
teach a high
school Python class. The website that’s up (www.summeryouth.washington.edu)
reflects the
summer 2011 schedule but will give you a pretty good idea of what the program
is about
should you be interested in learning more.

The program currently offers Java classes that are very popular and students
have been
requesting a Python class for a while. Most of the high school computer
classes are offered
at UW's downtown location. Likely this class would be scheduled in that
facility as well.
The students in the UW youth courses (especially the technology courses) are
typically very
motivated and a real joy to work with.

Please contact Leslie Rome-Nagata directly at: [email protected] should
you like to
chat about this opportunity. And don't hesitate to forward this email on to
anyone else who
may be interested.
