You have put in a replacement drive. You had Linux installed on the old hard drive. You are trying to boot Linux from a boot floppy you made when you installed Linux.
If I have the facts correct, then you will not be able to boot with the boot floppy you have, because it is designed to work with the installation that was on the old hard drive. (08:15 should be /dev/sda15.) You are going to have to re-install Linux, and then restore your data from backup, unless you are set up to restore the hard drive without Linux being installed. There are several packages that will do this, but most (all?) require you to set things up before the system dies. Now, if this was an operational system before you attached the externel drive to it, and it stopped working when you added the drive, then I would check the SCSI ID to make sure you do not have two devices with the same SCSI ID. Then double check your termination to make sure you have the SCSI chain terminated on both ends, and noware else. If you have both internel and externel devices, that means you have the devices farthest from the controller card terminated, and you do not have termination active on the card. If you only have the externel drive, then that drive and the card require termination.
