If you're going to dedicate a low end box (386/486 w/ 8-16 megs RAM), you might want to take a look at Freesco. In the same vein is the Linux Router Project. heck, even a Trinux disk with iptables will work great. All of the above do not require a hard drive...that is, they boot from the floppy and then run in RAM. -scm
