Hi Ben - I think all of your other questions have been addressed, but I just wanted to explain that EOF - that EOF announcement is for the Sun proprietary SCF interfaces, and for cards that are no longer available for purchase. We are hoping to someday bundle a replacement stack into the operating system, one that will not need to be closed source. I do not have a timeline for that at this point, but for now, the old stack will remain. Iain's recommendation for using PCSC is a great one and should get you through any transitions.
