Hmmm..I'm a history major so I will take a shot at this...

The Ottoman Turks occupied the penninsula of Anatola from the late 1300's
until 1922...

Could also be a dynasty in Korea..not sure though....

Or perhaps it was a ruling class in thailand. 

My bet lies with the Ottoman turks ruling Anatola.
