My mother has a fairly large pond on her property but the previous owners
let it get out of hand. It is now extremely overgrown and swampy. Someone
told me that the city might be able to clean it out for her for little or no
charge. I find this hard to believe considering the pond is on private
property. I know if this is heard of, it probably depends on what city but I
was just wondering if anyone here has heard of such a thing.
Also, does anyone have any idea who to call to have the pond cleaned and
drained... like a private company, park services? Again, I know it depends
on the location but I have no idea where to start so any information would
be appreciated.
