Dear Ken:
Whereas I don't have any first hand experience with IP and kimberlites,
my expectation is that the response would depend greatly on whether it
was weathered or not. Like most mafic rocks, they should have an
enhanced IP response in the unweathered state, with the response
decreasing as porosity increases, and with destruction of the original
crystal structure.
So much for surmises.
