Ken,
It appears you are not having much luck regarding the IP response of
kimberlites. Apparently hardly anyone has run IP over kimberlites. I
suspect the Russians may have, so you may try pursuing your contacts
there. However, since there doesn't appear to be any actual data
forthcoming, perhaps you should expand your search to geologists and ask
the question as to how much pyrite and ilmenite they have found in
various pipes. I have been told that some pipes do contain more than
minor amounts of pyrite and certainly many contain ilmenite (although
those are not normally the ones with economic diamond grades).
