Juan wonders:
<<HOw the hell do you end up buying a new head unit every 4 months? Or a
new amp and sub every six? That's a lot of indecision (or you have one
hell of a salesman who doesn't want to sell you the best the first time
around).>>

No, not a good sales man. That was the problem. Out of the 15 head
units: 1 is presently in my car; the last one got stolen, and the other
13 each had their own little scenarios that caused them to not make the
cut.

As for the subs and amps, every serious competitor goes through a
"coming of age" period with their system until they achieve the sound
that they are looking for, the power class that they are wanting to be
in, and the budget they are wanting to stay within. After 4 years, I had
achieved just this, and then someone decided that they wanted my system
more than I did.

Note: if you have a security system guarding $6k worth of equipment and
install, make sure it is always armed. Door locks are child's play for a
thief.

Anyways, the car sounds good for now, but I am rebuilding it slowly to
what I had before. Once I finish paying the car off, I'll free up $350 a
month to sink into the system again. 1 year to go and I will finally be
back "in business" ....woohoo!
