I haven't seen it but just am pondering the idea on how it works... but I
don't think it is adding another filter to filter out the water.. that
wouldn't work.. I am sure it just releases the pressure if it detects a
higher pressure in the intake tube when water is being sucked up...
therefore.. water won't go up the intake tube because there isn't enough
force to suck it up.  This also means that it is invisible to everyday use.
You shouldn't even know it's there unless you go sucking up water or
something.

Example... when sucking a liquid through a straw.. water is going up the
tube.. yet.. if you cut a hole in the side of the straw at the top.. then it
is very hard to actually get the liquid all the way up into your mouth since
the air is coming from the hole. (which would be the bypass valve).

This is all speculation of course since it is in the experimental stage and
I haven't seen one.. just heard about it from Mike K. when he posted about
it.. I am sure he has a more accurate description since he has seen one in
action.
