Hi,
I haven't seen dyno numbers, but AEM has a pretty good reputation in the
honda intake world so I doubt they'd make something that would interfere
very much with performance.

If the filter gets completely submerged it would obviously cause a stop in
air flow and a major pressure change which opens up the little flaps in the
valve letting air in and keeps it from sucking the water further up the
intake, and let it drain back out.

Pretty slick idea if you ask me. Try a few tests with a straw and Pepsi ;-)
