Speaking of Vipers. The guy who rents my basement owns a 99' GTS. Dark grey
with lighter shade of grey racing stripes. I came home one day and saw the
Viper sitting in my parking spot. If it was any other car, I probably would
have started bitching but I ran inside to grab a digital camera. Anyways, I
got to start the beast and blip the throttle. Very lumpy idle. The whole
car rumbles and then smoothes out as the revs increase. The motor was pretty
impressive to look at. It takes air in through the scoop upfront. You can
see dual throttlebodies and a throttle position sensor for each TB. 10
injectors etc etc....
I really liked the aluminum gas cap. It looks like it belongs on a aircraft.
The door opening mechanism is a button. When you hit the button it activates
a solenoid and pops the door latch.
I REALLy liked the tight gates on the shifter. All it required was a flick
of the wrist and you would be in another gear. Incredibly tight shifter.
After driving the Sentra later it felt sloppy and the throws waaay too long.
I thought the clutch on the Viper was very light. Progressive too and not at
all grabby. I really didn't like the turn signal switch which was lifted
straight off of a Neon. YUCK!!
Too bad I didn't get to drive it though. I wanted to do a few smokey burn
outs. Did I mention the ohh soo nice perforated leather buckets? It fit my
rear end like....... NVM.

I got some very nice shots of the Viper in the driveway though. I think I
even have a shot with my humble lil' Sentra in the back. Ask for pics if you
want. Very cool car. I'd never buy one but it was intresting to sit, feel
and play around with one for an hour or two.
