The only reason a 9 second import is cooler is because there is SO MANY 9
second domestics. Don't get me wrong guys, I share a shop w/ a guy who has
a 9 second Nova. The car is something to look at. I have my Pulsar GTi-R
clip sitting on the other side of the shop. He doesn't much care for the
import thing, but he respects it (hence the reason we share the shop,
tools, and everything else). While he knows his car is "daily driven"
(meaning its tagged and inspected) he only gets about 2 miles a gallon. My
best friends car sits right next to his (S14 w/ a SR20DET) and runs 12s (RAN
12s). He likes the fact that we get better gas mileage and can still woop
some ass in our own respect. When I get done w/ my car, its gonna something
to show off. I agree its fun to beat a sports car w/ a SE-R, but the truth
of the matter still remains that domestics rule and they will rule for a
LONG LONG time. I don't see any imports running 3 or 4 second 1/4 miles
YET.
