They were selling a 4sec 1/4 mile drag car on ebay which uses the lexus v8
engine but it's not your typical car. And also I don't see no regular nova
or el caminos or anything doing 3 or 4 seconds. The really really fast
domestics I've ever "read" in books are producing high 6 and seven seconds.
The fastest domestic i've ever seen from my 6 times at the drag strip was a
9 second. True domestic V8s are faster than import 4cylinders on average at
the straight but bring a 12sec domestic and a 14sec import to the curves and
it's a different story.
