I am using a local machine shop here in PA. The build racing engines and
they told me about some Vw's that they do work on, also they did up a 300Z
VG30DE motor for a customer, that included work on the heads and the block,
pistons and rods. I am using Pauter Machine to get the pistons and rods.
The block will be bored slightly, .030. The head will be polished and
slightly ported to get near even flow from the intake ports and exhaust
ports. I need JWT info on the cam specs. There is no way you can do this
cam gear thing. There are 2 chains in the motor. The chain that is off the
crank goes about half way to another gear, then there is another chain that
controls the cams. You can see a pic of this on the tear down ofthe motor.
I would find a way to convert it to a belt and get camd gears, but our
engines are conplicated and the chain is what you havet to use.
