yes i do need one because the head unit has two pre outs, i have a 2 channel
and a 4 channel amp. the current eq is a mobile authority crap that gives a
ton of feedback noise. the headunit is an alpine cassette, a 6 disc alpine
changer in the trunk. alpine tweeters in the doors, mb quartz 6x9's in the
rear, pioneer 3 ways in the front doors, two 12" bazooka tubes. the amps are
a 2 channel harmon kardon-they dont make this one anymore, ive walked into
car audio shops and have been offered lots of money for it. the other is a
shitty rockwood 4 channel, but did the job. my problem was when i went to
install the new tweeters, i realized the front driver speaker wasnt working
anymore. i restripped the wire and connected it and it was fine. the next day
same problem. i dont know if i blew a channel on the amp by hooking the old
tweeters to the same line as the door speakers. im gonna have the amp tested
this week. i know the speaker is fine. the alpine tweeters look sweet in the
doors. they came with great install stuff. what ya think could be the prob
ken?. someone told me crossovers are needed. what are they used for. later
tony
