Where in my statement do I sound pissed or anything? I'm anything but
pissed or annoyed. Now you are just confusing me. So what is he actually
trying to do? I don't get it. The whole point of this initial discussion
was Jacky MISSHIFTING into 2nd gear instead of 4th gear. No mechanism in
the world is going to stop your engine from blowing up. If you shift hard
and fast enough, even the synchro's can't prevent you from shifting into the
wrong gear. I know for a fact that when you are racing, you use a lot of
force to shift in order to shift fast. There was nothing wrong in the
design of the Nissan tranny or the engine. This case is entirely HUMAN
ERROR. If there was a flaw in the car, wouldn't people be blowing up cars
left and right? It doesn't happen because engineers spend years designing
these cars.
In your friend's situation with the GT-S, I have heard about people having
problems but I really think it is a lot of young inexperienced drivers not
knowing how to drive. I've driven a GT-S before and I had absolutely no
problems with it. Although I will admit I did not notice if I could shift
into 1st at freeway speeds. I didn't notice this because I know not to do
this.
