That's a pretty ignorant statement.

>So its
>not old people race on the free like the young import crowd.

Didn't know about that. Synchro's have nothing to do with springs. There
really isn't a spring in the transmission. There is one that makes it so
you feel it when you go left and right, but not one that helps you get into
gear. Synchros' are like little gears.

Synchro's aren't there to stop you or prevent you from going into the wrong
gear. You aren't supposed to go into the wrong gear period. They allow you
to downshift without having to double clutch and match revs IMO.

Nope, there isn't anything to warn you. I highly doubt that the car would
let you go into 1st at 90 mph.

>Plus, you are gonna tell me that for example a sentra or honda is running

I've driven my friend's brother's GT-S. The gearing is not close. If you
are talking about the length and throw of the shifter, then yes, they are
pretty short. But the gearing is not close. You are using the wrong terms.
If that would cause you to misshift, then that is driver error, not
design. If you think that you can easily misshift with the Celica, then
don't get a short shifter for your car, because you are going to be blowing
up engines.
